The icon in the upper part of the picture shows the resurrection with the train of the just into paradise as well as numerous side scenes as follows.
Crucifixion and burial of Christ on the left, Ascension on the right, the miracle of Saint Thomas and the three women at the grave.
The lower part of the picture shows the journey to hell with the risen Christ on the left with two angels and the gullet on the right with Satan and demons who are pushed back into hell.
This icon represents a unique thematic composition.
